Open SON Scripting Framework.
Eden-NET enables well-structured automation of methods and processes. The Eden-NET scripting framework supports advanced script state management, resource contention management, manually triggered scripts, schedule triggered scripts, event triggered scripts, and scoping of scripts.
Key Internal SON Subsystems.
The Eden-NET embedded key internal subsystems enable the most effective automation and optimal network performance. Eden-NET key internal subsystems include the intelligent SON trigger subsystem, RF prediction engine subsystem, subscriber geo-location subsystem, and dynamic cluster assignment subsystem. The Eden-NET scripting framework includes software APIs which are used within Eden-NET SON scripts to interface with these internal subsystems.
Integrated Key External Systems.
The integration of key external systems with Eden-NET enables the most effective automation and optimal network performance. Eden-NET is fully integrated with key external systems such as vendor-specific NMS/OSS systems, antenna management systems, geo-location systems, alarm management systems, performance management systems, and RF planning systems. The Eden-NET scripting framework includes software APIs which are used by Eden-NET SON scripts to interface with these external systems.
Real-Time RRM Interface.
The Eden-NET framework supports real-time interfaces to base stations for centralized radio resource management in order to deliver optimal LTE network performance. With this capability supported within the framework, the SON Modules for RAN OEMS can optionally be included within an Eden-NET deployment. The Eden-NET real-time interface between the centralized Eden-NET and distributed base stations is specified within the Eden-NET RRM API document.
Web-Based Graphic User Interface.
Users can simply and easily launch Eden-NET on any web browser. Eden-NET provides a well-constructed, task-based, state-of-the-art user interface for SON command, control, monitoring and reporting.
Persistent Logs.
Eden-NET provides a thorough accounting of all SON actions taken as well as the conditions which triggered the SON actions. Eden-NET includes a comprehensive logging function of script events and states which are accessible via the user interface, reports, and the SON scripts.
Fault-Tolerance.
SON is mission critical for mobile operators and Eden-NET is a fault-tolerant system. Eden-NET supports rollback and recovery mechanisms using internal persistent logs in the event of a failure. Eden-NET additionally supports an option for warm standby redundancy with data check pointing.
High Scalability.
Eden-NET operates on standard off-the-shelf commercial grade server platforms. Eden-NET scales to any size network and a single instance of the Eden-NET typically serves multiple markets.
SON Module Toolbox.
An extensive set of SON Modules for mobile operators, RAN OEMs, and government applications is presently supported with Eden-NET. Eden Rock and its operator and government agency partners across the globe are actively working together to expand the Eden-NET SON Modules toolbox.
